Ripley Flowerpot Trail

Go potty this summer!

For the past several years, as a community we have wool bombed the trees in Ripley Town Centre and Crossley Park. This year, we would like to do something a little different!

Get saving those unwanted flowerpots because for the first time, we are launching the first ever Ripley Township Flowerpot Trail!

This is how it's going to work...

The theme is a film or TV character or a musician or band.

We would love for residents, schools, businesses and local groups in the Township (Ripley, Marehay, Waingroves, Upper Hartshay, Street Lane, Lower Hartshay, Heage, Nether Heage, Ambergate, Bullbridge and Sawmills) to create something out of recycled plastic or terracota flowerpots based on a film / TV character or musician / band. It could be Snow White and the Severn Dwarfs, Elsa and Ana from Frozen, The Simpsons, The Beatles, Bill and Ben the Flowerpot Men, oh, the possibilities are endless!

Then throughout August, we would like you to display your flowerpots in your front garden, shop window, community area or school garden, so we can plot them on a map for our community to find.

Let us know if you are taking part

For us to plot the location of your Flowerpot creation on a map, you will need to let us know your Street name and postcode. We don’t need to know your house number - we don’t want to be that specific, plus it will make spotting your flowerpot a little adventure for people seeking them!

Please let us know if you would like to take part by completing this form:
Your contact details will be retained for the purpose of this Flowerpot Trail event by Ripley Town Council and will not be shared with a third party. If you wish for Ripley Town Council to remove your details, please contact us.

Do you have any unwanted flowerpots that can be recycled?

If you have any unwanted flowerpots of varying sizes/ material, you can donate them to this project. Please bring them (clean) to the Ripley Town Council office (6, Grosevnor Road, Ripley, DE5 3JF - Mon-Fri, 10am-3pm).

Participants can then collect them, free of charge to use for their project.
